Our pre-k program is a state funded program that follows a lottery system, therefore, a definite spot in our Spanish immersion pre-k program is not guaranteed. Students participating in the pre-k program will have one teacher and will remain in one classroom in which they will receive all content instruction in both English and Spanish with half of the day being taught in English and the other half of the day in Spanish.
Kindergarten through Second Grade
Kindergarten, first and second grade students participating in the DLI program will have two classroom settings with two different teachers. The English-speaking teacher will teach English Language Arts and Social Studies in English. The Spanish-speaking teacher will teach Mathematics and Science in Spanish, in order to “immerse” students in both languages. Math & Science instruction will not be repeated in English at school.
