🍂🐾 It’s PAWtumn at City Park! 🐾🍂

On Friday, October 31, students will hit the CATwalk during Specials for our Fall Fashion Show! 🎉

Students are welcome to wear costumes, fun outfits, hats, or accessories as they strut across the stage for a round of APPAWSE. (Please remember: no weapons, no masks, no frightening/scary costumes, and face paint must allow students to be identifiable.)

We’ll also celebrate our October PAWSitive Panthers 🎖—parents of honorees will receive a special invitation!

Plus, don’t miss our PAWtumn Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser! 🎃

Book-character pumpkins decorated by 4th & 5th grade art classes will be on display. Students can “vote” for their favorite with coins or cash. The pumpkin with the most votes will be declared the winner, along with a special Principal’s Pick of the Patch!

📚🐺 Exciting learning is happening in Ms. Guerrero’s classroom! This week, students are diving into the Savvas weekly passage "Wolf Island"  and they’re doing it in a PAWerful way! 🐾 Using small groups and the parallel co-teaching model, students are getting more focused support while they read.  👏 A big shoutout to Ms. Belman and Ms. Chesser, the support teachers working alongside Ms. Guerrero. Together, they’re helping make sure every student has the tools and guidance they need to succeed. 🧠✨ Way to go, team! #DaltonReads #WolfIsland #Savvas #TeamTeaching #LiteracyInAction

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Mrs. Rhodes' class got to shake their maracas with Mrs. Pichardo. Mrs. Rhodes’ class learned about Mrs. Pichardo’s home country, Venezuela. Students enjoyed learning about Venezuelan culture, creating colorful maracas, and dancing to traditional Venezuelan music. It was a fun and meaningful way to celebrate and learn together!
